So my Doctor Who DVDs came in yesterday, and this caused much excitement among the 'Squee Squad.' Muppet and I ended up watching about half of Resurrection of the Daleks, and I have kind of fallen in love with Five just a little. He has this great WTF face, and there's so much manhandling in his era. ♥
Then my laptop started acting up, and it wouldn't even play The Mind Robber, so we switched to Muppet's laptop to watch a bit of the commentary from that serial, and, oh, Frazer Hines.
Director: Wendy, did you like that dress?
Wendy Padbury: No, not at all.
Frazer Hines: We did.
Indeed, bless them for their apparent inability to age.

I got it from Amazon.uk, where it costs half the price of the average DW episode, even though it's an eight-parter, so it was quite a bargain. I don't know if the American Amazon has that special price, though.

And I agree: this icons rocks.

Just so that you get an idea, the BBC stuff that gets a national release looks rather cheap when compared to the other stuff. Needless to say, Amazon is my friend. *grins*

We have a very rich history, definitely. From Celtic rebels that fought the Romans to Arabian poets, murdered women that were crowned after their death, and even bakers known for killing Spanish soldiers with their baking shovels... Our historical facts rival many legends in terms of uncanny events.
