Fangirlin' It

I felt like I needed to post here to show off my new OTW Member icon!  Ao3 has become so much more awesome over the years since I first became a member; if you haven't done so, please contribute to their current fundraising campaign.  I know we all use the Archive so much these days, so please support such a great feature.  /PSA

God, this has been the week from crazy-land.  Monday was the October bank holiday, which sounds good, but just meant that I lost a day of work with a loan closing coming up next week.  Then, my co-worker is in Europe for a week, so I got dragged along on two site visits, for which I had to get up around 4 AM on both Tuesday and Thursday.  I didn't leave the office until after 9 PM last night, so I'm dead tired.  But!  In spite of the craziness, still loving the job.  And I'm going to visit family this coming weekend, so that will hopefully go well.

My IE is acting up, and so it's giving me difficulty with pics today, so I'm just going with their names until I figure out WTF is going on.

1.    I picked this up from graphicalrum.  It's Joe Flanigan (obv.), and every fangirl (or fanboy) needs a squee icon.

2.    This is a cap from the A&E miniseries Pride and Prejudice (the only real one!).  It's Lydia Bennett, and that pose is just so perfect for a bored/exasperated sigh.  The text and flower thing were done with GIMP.

3.    I picked this one up from someone, not sure who.  It's one of the SGA promo shots with the totally hot leather jackets that they really should have kept wearing.  I use this kind of on a random basis, just when I feel like looking at the Flan.

4.    I got this from either scrollgirl  or pocky_slash.  It's a quote from The West Wing, which Josh says after they get their Supreme Court nominee to agree.  It's part of a silly monologue, which also contains the lines, "Bring me the finest muffins and bagels in the land," and "It is done, and I have done it."  This is my "yay, me" icon.

5.    I got this from donutsweeper .  It's Jack Harkness saluting the Tenth Doctor as he's returning to Torchwood after the Year that Never Was.  That scene always got me, and this is one of my leftover TW icons, even though I'm not really in that fandom anymore.

oh, this makes my week! I found these awesome icons by black_eyedgirl and they're all TWW, and most are even slashy, just like her really great fic. Whee!

This is an icon I made for omayer, since she doesn't have one. It's from Numb3rs, although if she'd like another fandom, she should let me know! Anyone else, feel free to gank it, but do please credit me.

Wow, guys. I am sooo frickin' creative tonight. I'm not sure I like this one as much as the last one, though.



ETA: Nope, I don't think I like it as well. But it's awfully colourful, you have to admit.

I decided after much very little thought that I needed an icon to express this sentiment.
