Directions:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest (unless it's too troublesome to reach and is really heavy. Then go back to step 1).

The Poems W.B. Yeats (yes, it really was the closest)

First Sailor. She will be like a wild cat; for these queens
Care more about the kegs of silver and gold
And the high fame that come to them in marriage,
Than a strong body and a ready hand.

"You saw what stirred in the tortured memory of our friend F. Alexander. Was it, by any chance- ? That is to say, did you- ? I think you know what I mean."

Tell me, can you guess which book that is?

How appropriate for both of us.

"And, of course, the explosive growth of television in the fifties was looking on with dismay. While its manufacturers, producers, and promoters saw it as a miracle that would placate bored housewives and keep families together, its detractors saw it as a further degradation of cultural standards. Television was yet another sign that the culture was being reduced to a featureless, homogenized mass."
--Film, Form, and Culture by Robert Kolker

I'm lucky I had to look up the theory of Aura a few days ago; otherwise the nearest book would be a collection of Eugene O' Neill plays I've been using to prop up the portable fan.

teehee. how appropriate indeed. like the new icon btw. omg, i just saw Finding Judas the other night. If I weren't completely in love with Chase already, I would be now. zomg!1 sigh. on the bad news front, chris and our friend misty are really not doing well. on the good news front, i have decided to stick around here for a while and give it another go with my parents. i don't want to have any regrets; it seems to be a genetic condition in my family.
