All Quiet on the Western Front

Well, this comes a bit late, but here I am, home for the summer. So far, so good on the parental front, though one never knows when that might change. So, things I need to do:
1. Find a job for the summer. It would be really nice if said job had something to do with research or editing, but with the economy like it is, I somehow really doubt that.
2. Finish unpacking. My efforts have been hampered by the fact that there are people here all day working in and on the house, but today I put on some of my recently-purchased CDs, including the soundtracks to Wicked, BSG, and Firefly. Bliss.
3. Fill out forms for financial aid/scholarships/etc. Last time I ever have to do this, guys, and I can't tell you how happy that makes me.
4. Make myself a Torchwood icon. I can't believe I'm so into this fandom and have yet to make myself an icon from it. That never happens!
5. Send my laptop in to Dell to get the CD/DVD drive repaired/replaced. That's really fucking up my plans, and it will literally cause me pain to be without my baby, but it must be done, and the sooner the better.
In other cool news, we finished the rest of Tombs of the Cybermen, and my dad liked it! He liked it enough to want to watch more with me. I love sucking my parents into my fandoms; I did that with The West Wing too. Then we watched the first episode of The Dinosaurs, which I also have on DVD, because all of us remember it from TV, and how hilarious it was. Good times.
